Candice Lane, M.D.
The Hormone Health MD weblog is written by Dr. Candice Lane, a leading physician specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement, including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, adrenals, growth hormone, and nutrients for the treatment of menopause, andropause, PMS, peri-menopause, and the diseases of aging.
She became interested in bioidentical hormones during her own hormone health journey. Having practiced traditional medicine for twenty years before retirement, she developed a panaply of menopausal symptoms that her doctor dubbed “just getting old”. Challenged to find relief, she began reading Suzanne Somers’s book “The Sexy Years” and attended an American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine conference. She was immediately hooked by what she was learning and began instituting hormone and nutrient changes in her life. Her health quickly improved and she devoted herself to an intensive study of hormone and anti-aging medicine. Dr. Lane completed extensive study in bioidentical hormones and anti-aging medicine including preceptor-ships with prominent anti-aging physicians Dr Ronald Rothenberg, Dr. Pamela Smith, and Dr. Paul Savage. After 2 years of study, Dr. Lane was excited to share this new healthcare with other men and women to avert needless suffering and decline. She came out of retirement to open her own private practice, Hormone Health MD Plus, in bioidentical hormone replacement, anti-aging medicine, and aesthetics in Westlake Village, CA. Aesthetic services include Botox, fillers, laser skin rejuvenation, photofacial, laser hair and vein removal, skincare, and body contouring (Velashape).
Lane is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine. She is American Board of Medical Specialties board certified in Anesthesiology. She is a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.
